Overlooking the vibrant Castle Square, 1 Oxford Street has long been a prominent feature of Swansea’s urban landscape. The building currently hosts retail on the ground floor and is home to two of the city’s most bustling eateries: Mcdonald’s Restaurant and Taco Bell.

Kartay’s redevelopment plans for 1 Oxford Street will see Kartay modernise the buildings existing infrastructure to compliment Castle Squares’ new vibrant aesthetic and facilitate our vision to create an active and sustainable mixed-use neighbourhood in the city.

The ground floor will continue to host two of Swansea’s most popular eateries, McDonald’s and Taco Bell, whilst introducing a new retail unit with prime Castle Square frontage. This addition offers businesses an opportunity to thrive in the heart of Swansea’s busiest thoroughfare.

Subject to planning, the upper floors will be reimagined to include 29 high-quality residential apartments. Designed to meet the needs of modern urban living, these apartments will offer residents accommodation in a central location with views overlooking a regenerated Castle Square.
