A Welcomed Refurbishment In Swansea’s City Centre for the McDonalds Building

1 Oxford Street is a 5-storey commercial building located on Castle Square in the heart of Swansea City Centre.

The building currently hosts retail units on the ground floor and, due to its prime location attracting significant footfall, is home to two of the city’s most bustling eateries: Mcdonald’s Restaurant and Taco Bell.

Kartay has future plans to develop the upper floors of the building into high-end residential apartments overlooking the soon to be regenerated Castle Square, which will provide a vibrant and functional new community area featuring a selection of new food and beverage outlets, outdoor seating areas and a new landmark water feature.

Redevelopment of 1 Oxford Street will see Kartay modernise the buildings existing infrastructure to compliment Castle Squares’ new vibrant aesthetic and facilitate our vision to create an active and sustainable mixed-use neighbourhood in the city.
